Academic rigour & curiosity
Grounded in the Québec Education Program, our approach values strong academic foundations, critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and competencies for continued education and lifelong learning.
Every student has unique potential, strengths, and abilities that deserve to be recognized, nurtured, and developed. Sequoia Academy’s vision brings rigorous, engaging education together with Christian values so that every learner can grow with confidence and purpose.
Our relaunch builds on a story that began in 2003. As we develop our educational project, we place the whole child at its heart: intellectual, social, emotional, physical, creative, and spiritual growth, in a community where students feel safe, connected, valued, and supported.

Academic achievement matters deeply. Meaningful education also helps young people build relationships, care for their well-being, discover their strengths, and embrace what comes next.
Our educational project emphasizes qualified educators, thoughtful pedagogy, appropriate student support, and meaningful learning experiences that give every student opportunities to progress and succeed.
As an English-language school project in Québec, we see French as an essential connection to the province we call home. Beyond the textbook, our vision encourages opportunities to communicate, build relationships, and participate in French-speaking communities, developing a foundation for further study and the workplace.
Grounded in the Québec Education Program, our approach values strong academic foundations, critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and competencies for continued education and lifelong learning.
Learning and personal well-being are deeply connected. We seek to nurture mental and emotional health, resilience, self-awareness, healthy relationships, and the confidence to ask for support.
Our vision for French as a Second Language emphasizes practical communication, confidence in spoken and written French, and meaningful participation in Québec’s French-speaking communities.
Nature invites movement, exploration, reflection, and discovery. We envision regular outdoor experiences that connect academic learning with physical well-being and care for the environment.
Dignity, compassion, integrity, service, responsibility, stewardship, and respect guide our educational vision and the way we care for one another and the world we share.
We seek an inclusive, welcoming environment for diverse backgrounds, abilities, and learning profiles, working with families and the wider community to support each student’s progress.

Open communication and collaboration with families and the wider community are central to our vision. Together, we seek to help young people engage thoughtfully and respectfully with a diverse society.
Our goal is for students to become academically prepared, resilient learners, effective communicators, compassionate neighbours, responsible citizens, and thoughtful stewards of the environment for the next generation.
